A Word From Our President

Dear Sisters and Future Sisters,

At the University of Kentucky, the Epsilon Omega chapter of Kappa Delta is more than just a sorority—it’s a home filled with the kind of people who make you laugh until you cry, who show up for you when you need them most, and who remind you daily why you chose KD in the first place. It’s a home filled with real, genuine friendships and some of the funniest, most down-to-earth women you’ll ever meet. From the moment you step through our doors, you’re met with warmth, laughter, and a sense of belonging that just feels right.

When I first walked through the doors of Kappa Delta, I felt something different—a sense of ease, a feeling of comfort. I remember sitting down with my recruiter, both of us letting out a deep breath, and for the first time that day, feeling completely at peace. I could speak freely, laugh genuinely, and just be myself. That recruiter is now my big, and from that first interaction, I knew KD was where I belonged. Here, we embrace each other wholeheartedly, celebrating our individuality while strengthening the unbreakable bond that makes our sisterhood so special.

What makes Epsilon Omega truly unique is the way our chapter embodies Kappa Delta’s core values—building confidence, inspiring action, and fostering true friendships. Whether it’s through leadership opportunities, academic excellence, philanthropic service, or simply being there for one another, KD women uplift and empower each other in every aspect of life. Sisterhood is at the heart of everything we do. The friendships formed within these walls last far beyond our years at UK. It’s in the little moments—cracking jokes in the kitchen, having deep, late-night talks on the couch, cheering each other on at events, and spontaneous road trips that become core college memories. It’s in the big moments, too—standing side by side as we take on leadership roles, support each other’s dreams, and celebrate personal and collective achievements.

But Kappa Delta is not just about the bonds we form within our chapter—it’s about making a difference. We are passionate about our philanthropies, supporting Prevent Child Abuse America, The Nest, and the Girl Scouts, and we take pride in giving back to our community and being the most philanthropic chapter on campus. Whether we’re hosting Shamrock events, mentoring young girls, or finding new ways to serve, we are dedicated to leaving a lasting impact.

Epsilon Omega is also a place where growth is encouraged, and leadership is cultivated. Our chapter is filled with driven, determined women who challenge each other to be their best selves. From taking on positions within KD to leading across campus, our sisters are empowered to reach their full potential and step confidently into the future.

For me, KD has been life-changing. It has given me my three best friends and roommates—the people I couldn’t imagine doing college without. It has brought me the amazing close friends I made while living in the house, the ones who bring me pure joy and are always there for me. It has given me an incredible council—people who inspire me every day and who are not just fellow leaders but some of my closest friends.

Most importantly, KD gave me a purpose. Coming into recruitment, I knew I wanted to make a meaningful impact, to lead, and to put my determination and drive to use. KD has given me the opportunity to grow, innovate, take on leadership roles, and truly connect with my sisters. It has shaped me into a stronger, more confident person and prepared me for success in the future. That is why I wanted to serve as president—to give back to the chapter that has given me so much, to support and uplift the women who have shaped my college experience, and to continue fostering the strong, inspiring sisterhood that makes KD so special.

Kappa Delta is more than just four years—it’s a lifetime of memories, friendships, and experiences that shape us into the women we are meant to be. Choosing Epsilon Omega means choosing a sisterhood that is strong, hilarious, supportive, and above all, real.
